Hi all- ok so things have gone from questionable to worse with the dog, now the head gaskets and base gaskets are leaking on both cylinders. plus, it still has a really weird issue of not running right after it warms up, loss of power, etc. The motor must come apart to see whats up.

I cannot for the life of me find any reference to what gaskets to buy for this 2001 107 motor- it has the TP bottom end, Jims jugs, and Edelbrock heads.

Anyone know?

I'm assuming your scoot has the Edelbrock heads as well? I'm contemplating ditching them for some Branch heads or SS. I know the Edlebrock heads are a "lose 8-10 HP" item.. ;p

OK I found part numbers for gaskets on the early 107 Big Dog motors - posting them here since I have seen several threads on this topic...but... no info to be found. so here it is.

These are all very good Cometic gaskets:

Stud spacing: Standard Evo style / OEM HD (NOT the wider stud spacing like on S&S big-inch motors) - 1/4" stud bolt size, not 5/16"

TP gasket part #'s and retail price if purchased from TP directly:

bottom end kit 45-7401-10 $75.12
top end kit 45-7402-10 $150 - (45 thousandths head gasket thickness)
Rocker kit 45-7102-23 $51.95

**If you have S&S rockers and not TP rockers, you'll need to get the rocker gasket set through DS or SS

Drag Specialties part numbers for the above TP gaskets (SAME gaskets but with DS part numbers):
bottom end kit 0934-1286
top end kit 0934-1288
rocker kit 0934-0038

I got all of this info from TP directly, and confirmed with Cometic. BTW, Cometic will make any thickness of gasket needed - just call them. TP recommends the 45 thousandths head gasket on the 107 motor.
