Need help with brakes

I have an 03 Bulldog. I noticed that the chrome was worn off on the rear rotor. I took the caliper off to check the brakes. Still have an 1/8 th inch pad left. Noticed the rotor has two very slight bumps on it, that I can only feel with my finger, these run all the way around the rotor. Does this sound like I need a new rotor? I have read all the threads on this, but still scratchin my head. Thanks

just a thought...........have to see a pic to be sure but your pads may have an iimperfection in it causing the highspot (or lowspot) ,,, i would change the pads and ,make sure your rotor is not warped by spinning whiles its mounted,, the new pads may slowly correct your problem,,, harder pads will wear your rotor,, softer pads will deform to the contour of rotor....

If there is enough meat on the rotor have it turned.
Then put a set of Dunlo pads on her.
Long wearing, noiseless, dust free and reasonably priced. Best pads I've run yet.
Once your pads are down to 1/8" or less you should change them.

I believe there is a required DOT 'minimum' number on the disc? So the thinner it gets, the more paper thin it is and do you want a notepad kind of page between your pads?

A bump in the disc should show a matching gouge in the pad's face. Is there?

A caliper has this thing called a 'square ring' and it is sharp at all 4 sides. It also has memory you go twisting it and all that, right? It also sits in a square groove.

A piston is about to push into the pad which pushes into the disc so as to see what's happening? Now, you back off on the master cylinder lever, this build up pressure releases and the rubber's memory goes back to square = Pulling the piston back with it.

A bump in the disc means something is up charlie. You want instant pressure. Not some asswipe disc company pitting a divot in the disc so you push the piston back farther?

Got the theory being too simple you go messing with some simple engineering?
