I have combed through most of the threads in the starter forum but my problem seems to be unique. My bike is a 2001 prosport with the tp107. I pulled my battery and stored it inside over the winter and charged it before my first ride this season. Worked fine for a few rides then wouldn't turn the motor, not even with a booster pack so I replaced it with the same battery an interstate 330 cca. Problem is that I only got 3 rides out of the new battery too. I have always had a 2 second delay before it rolls over, no comp releases. I put the battery on my tender and it bounces back in about 4 hours but barely rolls the motor over and it makes no difference if I try to boost it or not. I triple checked all the connections at the battery and the frame ground. When I try to start it both the + and - cables get very warm. I pulled the plugs out and the motor whips right over. Both my base gaskets are leaking but I figured that was unrelated. I called a shop in my area that was highly recommended but they are 3 weeks out right now and I really don't want to park it for the month of June! Thanks for any help!
