Need help picking parts.

Need help picking parts for head re-work (and zero deck questions)

Ok ... just a couple of refinement questions.

I've read several posts in regard to valve size on the 05's. I think the most common upgrade is to go 2.00 intake and 1.605 exhaust.

It looks like I have a talented machine shop here in town. Recommended by Mondo over at Denver's Choppers. I'm headed over there this afternoon to talk with them. I'm assuming they're not gonna tell me what parts to use.

So I want to ask the group here to double check me:

Springs: .640 lift S&S part# 90-2077
Valves: Intake 2.00" part# 90-2000
Valves: Exhaust 1.605" Part# 90-2001
Valve Guides: Intake/Exhaust part# 90-2210
** I thought the 05's had a 91cc chamber, but S&S doesn't list a valve seat for that size chamber?????

Now I'm also going to zero the deck with a target of 10.3-5:1 ratio.

Do I need to do the cam at this time or can it wait? What does the curve look like on that cam? I'm not looking to ride in 3.5-5k range a whole lot. Don't get me wrong the throttle is wide open till about 3.5k.

Cam: .600 S&S part#33-5058

I know I'm gonna rejet, a hone and rings ... other than gaskgets am I missing anything?

PS: I'll post some pic of the ugly f*cking oval on the exhaust valves. I swear I'm gonna not sell those TP boxes .. I'm just gonna take'em out in the desert and shoot the sh!t out of em.

~ Mayhem, out.

Your bike should have roller tip rocker arms but I'm not sure if they are S&S or not. You may want to check that out as well if you're going to complete your top end with S&S components.

New cam nose cone so you can install adjustable ignition and set timing as required or maybe the S&S ignition.

I need a comment on the 91cc head question for the zero deck calculation, any updates?

I talked with Baker Machine here in Vegas, they have a flow bench and seem very knowledgable on head related issues if not S&S specific items.

I hadn't noticed before but when I pulled the heads out of the box to show them, I noticed that my head still had the restrictor plate in place ... this should be a noticable improvement when it all comes back together.

Thanks
Mayhem
