Need Help asap

Ok so iv had my bike for a few months now...and iv maybe road it 100 miles. The other 85 days its been broke down. Just when I think its fixed something else kicks the bucket. I want to least have one good ride before the girlfriend kicks my butt for spending so much and not having anything to show for it.lol
At this time its major malfunction is battery related. Something is just killing them completely. Can anyone offer any advice?

Hey Mohawk02... sorry to hear of your disappointment. I understand, been there done that....still working on it. Dude, you bought yourself a "hotrod" in the bike world, and like any "hotrod", it takes a ton of TLC and upkeep. Now as for you battery issue, start with the basics. Search the heck outta the forum, check your battery and ALL connections. Test your VR and stator..... this should get ya started. Good luck tracking down the issue. I'm sure some smarter folks than me will chime in.....

Yep, I would start with the VR and Stator.... I had a burned up VR that caused my battery issues. Had a hole burnt right throught it!

As said above check your voltage at the battery with the bike running should have 13 to 14 volts. BD has a bad batch of VRs in the 05 - 06 models. There is some good how to's on this in the technical section.

agree ..i had a stator hub rub thru my wires..had to change whole thing out..shit happens
