Need Help: '03 Pitbull Passenger Set Up

I need to set my '03 pitbull up for a passenger (my wife isn't too happy that I bought the dog and she can't ride along). According to what I've found online I have to buy a damn bracket that costs around $250 or so... plus the seat and pegs... Does anyone have these parts they'd be willing to sell? I know some have fabricated some custom brackets but I'm not handy when it comes to that stuff. If anyone would be willing to fabricate some brackets for me I'd definitely be willing to pay for it. Thanks for any help fellas, God bless.

You dont have to put on the bracket. Thats just for more comfort for a passenger to lean back. Pegs and a rear seat is plenty for just local cruising around.

Thanks for the imput. I thought that bracket was needed in order to clear the belt. I'm guessing it would be ok to just mount the passenger pegs to the frame?

I have a mastiff. You can run the pillow pad and passenger pegs. The sissy bar is only for someone to lean back on. Not mandatory to have

This was the bracket that I came across for the pegs (hopefully I uploaded the pics correctly). This is what I was questioning. When I was trying to research this I could find any other examples of how people mounted passenger pegs to an '03 pitbull. I'm not too worried about a sissy bar... the wife will just have to hold on tight. Thanks.

Its what referred too as a "Whisker Bar" and I recommend the BDM P-Pad it's well padded

I beleve you do need the "wisker" bar to mount the pegs. What everyone else is refering to is the bracket for a backrest. let me know if Im mistaken.....

What people have fabricated does not work for your application. You must get that bracket unfortunately. They are pretty hard to come by. The seat is simple any lickem stickem will work. Pegs are simple if you don't mind not matching. If you want matching then you must get the Thunderheart ones. Check fleebay. Good luck Check this out it might work http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5300145

Are you f#####g serious.... BDM wants $350 for that whisker bar and the link you gave me has the same damn thing for $70. Thanks, you just saved me some cash! I was thinking about going with the thick phantom gel pad for the seat so it won't be such a ruff ride for the wife. Anyone know if that's of good quality? Thanks for all the help!

I actually just ordered it now... The money fairy (tax refund) came to see me today so I ordered all the stuff I needed (I think). I got the bracket, pegs, and clevis bracket from J&P cycles. I ordered the 7" gel pillion pad from phantom pads. All in all... about $300.
