need diagnostic tool for 07 bulldog

just got my 07 bulldog and live in canada and no one here has diagnostic tool for s&s ,where ever i take it they say we dont have the proper tool for figuring out what wrong ,so what do i need to buy eg.s&s guardian diagnostic system ??? will that work and if so where do they connect it ,thanks also its EFI and they say they have to figure out the brand and codes for it ,any help would be great thanks

You can download the S&S Pro Tune Software from S&S and if it's the Stock S&S VFI module I have the cable you need. Drop me a PM if your interested.

You connect the cable to the the 9 pin serial port on the S&S module.

There are 2 little screws which hold a rectangular plate on the s@s vfi module. take the screws out and the plate off and you will see where the cable hooks. The s@s vfi module is located on the outside of the battery box behind the right electrical cover if it is like the k9 bikes. Be carefull though as static electricity from you or anything can ruin the module so always ground yourself. Hope this helps.:flag:

1) If you post your problem we may be able to help ya.

2) If you do not have a service manual I would suggest finding one for purchase or download.

3) You can connect your laptop (I have the cable) to a 9 pin serial connector on the S&S VFI Module (Stock S&S Module). The connector is behind small plate held on with a couple of button head hex screws. (The plate is on the S&S VFI Module) Go to this link download the software and manual for the pro tune. The module is under the seat usually bolted to the battery box.

EARL told you exactly what u need to know, pm him for the rest, yeah a fuckin USB port, its called your EHC, get used to it or get rid of it. Welcome to the BIG world.
