Ok. Just got my clutch adjustment spin on cover from the UPS man(thanks Biker Babe:cheers:) and need to know if putting Locktite on the threads would be smart or not:loony:. I lost the other one from vibration I guess:angry:, and it has been loose several times before and had to tighten it up before I rode. So if anyone has any opinions,,,,shoot em' out here. Thanks DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think the manual calls for Never-Seize. This is what I use on mine. The big o-ring holds it on pretty good as you see you are about the only one on here that has lost one. :D

Be sure there is an o-ring on the spin on cover. I have never use any locktite on this and it is sometimes difficult to remove.

Thanks guys for the advice. It does have an o-ring not sure about the other one. I'll leave the locktite off of it and keep an eye on it:eek: and if it does try and back off, well then I guess I'll have to use some or use even more drastic measures.....JB Weld....welding rod......or everyones best friend.....good ol fashion RUST!!!!!...Just kidding guys....Thanks again for your suggestions.

I use a door stops with the rubber end, they fit perfect in the notches and grind the screw off the other end, you can get them at walmart. Just take a hammer and tap it tight.

There are different grades (strengths) of thread lockers also...you could always use a lower one so it does not come off by itself, but isn't impossible to remove should you need to.
