Yea I just took a mig welder and run a couple of beads on the inside of the outter race and let it cool, then it just fell out. Tape up everything so splatter won't mess anything up. Oh and don't forget to disconnect the battery leads.

Yeah, don't waste your money on a 130 dollar tool.
Go buy a 600 dollar welder spend a few months learning how to use it.
Then change your races.
Sorry I couldn't help myself....

Add to that some education in metal hardening. The grains in said metal will change with this method and it will not change to the better. And no, I'm not talking about the race to be thrown away anyways but the frame or cups that you will reuse.

Doing things right might take some research and effort the first time you do it but well worth it in the long run.

And i thought Americans didn't have a sacastic sense of humor.

Don't forget an amount of "Common Sence" as well.

While your at it you could ask an Engineer.............your bike would be upside down with heat beads to get the caps out and lets not forget post heat treatment as well, and you may have put stresses into it so a a good dose of stress relief then an MDR (Material Data Record) and finally and Engineers report to say that your bike may or may not be affected by what may or may not be present..............etc etc etc.
I love my job.:spank:

I may have missed it but the easiest way to do it is with the proper tools.

Pricey? Yes

Gets the job done correctly in a matter of a few mins though
