nail in tire today

can it be plugged or patched. or is it a new tire for me.
I ride it to work 2 time a week about 45 miles:::

Front I would not try.
Rear tire, Depends where the nail went in. In the sidewall it is toast.
Yes you can plug it but most places will not touch a motorcycle tire for good reasons. It can be plugged or patched. I have plugged the rear once but clipping down the interstate one day at 85 mph I thought about what could happen so I replaced the tire.
Not worth it in my opinion, I would replace it......

One problem bigdog dealer is about 4 hrs away.

My local harley dealership just changed out a 300mm on my rim for $32.50.

I changed mine ... not worth the risk just like the guys are saying ... I tried to plug it but it wouldn't hold .... better to have that piece of mind instead of your piece of mind on the the road ....:up:
