N light on my speedometer not working

I own a 2004 BD Ridgeback, I have converted the bike from computer chip to hard harness with fuses and relay as I was having trouble in my front lights keeps come on and off, so I got rid of this problem, now after a year the other day started my bike everything is OK but for some reason I cannot see the N light when I put the bike on it, so I was wondering is someone knows the issue.

The Harness was made at BD performance and was ordered for 2005 (Saudi Mechanic ordered this ) everything works but the below because of that:
- RPM does not work
- Switch off button does not work

Since I'm having a similar issue with a 05 Ridgeback I just bought and figured most of it out....did your N light ever work?

The RPM and N light should go straight from the speedo to the switches/wires themselves-there shouldn't be anything in between them.

I just traced mine, did continuity check on the wires, all is good, brand new Dakota Speedo. I got everything working but my N light.

TO see if it's your switch, pull the plug off on top of the trans, put your multimeter on it..ground one side to tranny....in neutral it should be closed and in gear it should read wide open.....that's where I started. Then I checked the wire from the speedo all the way to the switch to see if I had continuity - which I did and I checked my ground...and my N light is still not working but I fixed my RPMs and my Oil light....

Keep up the good fight....

Thanks for your reply...Yes my N light was working fine no problem, I did not have any issue with it since 2011, I assumed maybe something came loose or the light went off, but I will do the suggested troubleshooting and see how it goes, may be loose wires...

Cheers :)

We're having the same issue! Did you figure yours out? Harley can't figure ours out. We just had the whole ECM rewired and were suppose to bypass using a EHC? I met a guy Big Bill at the Leesburg, FL, bikeweek, from Big Dog in Tampa. We're going to call him! 813-377-7979. Please keep us posted and we will too. Our neutral light worked when the bike when into Harley too!
