mystery oil leak

I have a small oil leak from the transmission on my 04 ridgeback. I have replaced the shaft seal and quad seal. I have an open belt drive and there is no evidence that the shaft seal is still leaking as the face of the transmission is dry. The oil drips from the ring gear of the clutch basket. It is trans oil as I dyed it to tell the difference between the engine and trans. Any ideas where to look?:bang:

Have you had the trans rebuilt?
You may be getting some shaft movement from bad bearing.

Also check you vent tube and make sure it's not plugged. Mud dobber's kept plugging mine up, and making the seal leak.

Found it! $4.95 shift shaft seal. Still had to tear thing whole thing apart to get to it

I have the same thing but as Curtis said it's because of a bad bearing. You can replace the seal but it will leak again in a short time.

its not the main shaft seal. that was replaced and it is fine its the small seal on the shift rod on the top front of the case.
