had a problem with my pack sagging through the gap in my luggage rack and rubbing the paint on the rear fender. so, went to lowes and $56 and 1 hour later had a nice little solution in place that looked good to.

Interesting...I always put my tool kit at the bottom of the pack to keep the bag supported.

Good Idea though! How did you secure it to the rack?

it has 4 rubber lined 5/8" clamps around the luggage rack with 1/4" stainless bolts with locknuts bolting them to the plate.

Did something similiar several years ago with plexiglass and velcro. Cost me about $8.00 and works really well. Easy on and off....Only takes a minute

Good ideas! I see Alan's setup would allow better support for wider luggage. Going with Eric's comment would placing something like Alan's plexiglass in the bottom of the luggage be a good idea? Certainly wouldn't get the coverage the way Alan's setup is but assume it would help with sagging...with the pack that is not the sack:D

I considered doing that also, placing something in the pack. But was afraid after time it might try to rip the pack open or wear through from the weight.

might give the lexan a try......$8 can't go wrong!

Alan can't tell in the pic but is the front of your bag (side furthest from sissy) fastened down at all? thanks
