My new 08 pitbull sissy bar

Inspired by Alla88's - choppin steel sissy bar, I decided to go ahead and make my own. Not wanting to copy, I gave it a little twist to match my tribal paint scheme (I hope you guys don't mind). It is stainless steel and with the help of talented welder friend took about 30 hours. I am very happy with results.

What do you guys think?

They actually are 14" overall off the fender.

It was my first stab and think i like the shorter look.

How were you able to get the insert out of the struts with out pulling the rear tire off?

There are 2 set screws on each strut (bottom- underneath plug). Remove set screws. Then there is a little hole (in between the set screw holes) that you can push up or use a punch.

Mine were VERY sticky and needed hammer persuasion.
