Artie, be careful with that! Whos name is the title in? Is the bike paid off in full with a clean title? I just went through this yesterday when I went to look at a 2008 Ridgeback going for a great price. I met the guy and the bike with intensions to take it home with me. The guy pulled up with the bike and it looked smoking hot, I loved that bike. So, I asked him for the title and he said he didn't have it. So, I asked why didn't he bring it when I told him I might take it home with me. He said he still owed on the bike and if I gave him the money for the bike he would have it paid off on Monday. I was like WTF are you talking about? He wanted me to give him the money so he could pay off the bike.

I also found out some more information about the bike, it was bought in Kansas from Dream Machines the guy made mention of a salvage title and from that point I was turned off and told him I'll pass, I didn't want anything more to do with it. So, I'm just saying, do you homework and find out as much as you can about this bike before the purchase. Good luck and I hope you deal goes through...

Brew - I did not buy the bike because he did not have the title. he told me last week he has applied for title and will call me once he has it.

thanks for the thought - you are correct!

Sounds like your on it Artie, one more suggestion! Make sure the VIN on the bike and the VIN on that new title match perfectly and you'll be golden... :old2:
