I have an 06 Ridgeback...AWESOME Bike!! A few things you can ask about or check, tp rocker boxes upgraded to s&s, starter been rebuilt? A lot of the stock ones leak, theres a fix for it. Original ehc? Some have problems...myself included. Other than that, if it looks nice and the price is good I say get it!!

Welcome from Washington State, hope you enjoy the site. Including what MB posted on thread #8 also the 05 - 08 models were known to have a defect with the trans main shaft. Both of my bikes 05 Ridgeback and 08 Mastiff have had the shafts replaced by Andrew. Also, the clutch baskets have been known to crack also...

Anything with as few miles as that screams "LEMON" at me.

I have never seen a little old lady that only drove her Big Dog to church on Sundays. With low miles like that I would have to assume that it wasn't rode much because it had problems.

That being said, all the lemon problems have been mentioned above.
Plan on sending the starter to Kaptain Amerika for upgrade and rebuild.
Plan on having the transmission main shaft replaced by Baker.
Plan on replacing the EHC with the RIP kit (or other of your choice).
Plan on a clutch basket upgrade (only comes with complete clutch).

If the price is good enough for you to buy it AND pay for the "big 4" things above, then it is in fact a good deal.

Well, what are you waiting for....go buy the dang thing.

Man there's lots of garage queen Big Dogs both mine were bought with 3,000 miles and as far as I could tell it wasn't because they didn't work. One had the PDM just installed. Some people but it but don't ride it happens ...

My 06 K9 came with 900 Miles..... not 100% sure about it though.... I am still waiting to find a way to read my stock Ignition Module (factory locked) and see how many hours it actually has done.

The software for the ASM5012 will not read BDM locked Modules.

thanks for all the great info - waiting on my guy to get title in his name. i am sure something is not right on the bike for me to get such a good deal - well below trade value. After listening to you guys, it is nothing that cant be addressed. it appears to start right up and run great!

no, have not ridden it yet. the guy I am buying it from bought it 90 days ago. I am guessing their might/could/maybe have some of the issues mentioned here. bike looks brand new, tires have been replaced, and car fax is clean. once he gets the title I will ride it then. I have been around bikes my entire life and can use a wrench.

TITUS - what is it I should be looking for?
