I agree with everyone about this issue and from time to time we all run into people that are exceptionally anal wheither it is cars, trucks, or motorcycles. I don't think it is the big dogs as much as just the fact that some people are off's and then you have even exceptions to that rule, like the guys you ran into. I ride by myself about 99% of the time. I am like you Dan , I like my ole ridgeback. I really do not care what anyone that does not like it thinks. You will be able to laugh at those folks after a while. When I first got mine, and I speak to everyone else riding when possible. There was a guy on a Vespa that flipped me a bird when I spoke to him as we passed. I think it is funny now but then I had serious thoughts of beating his vespa. Like Mr. Billy said , there are a bunch of them out there,, somedays we are just more fortunate than others. You have an open invitation to ride with me anytime you are in Tennessee and it ain't raining or colder than you know.

Don't let comments like that bother you. There are all kinds of people with all kinds of opinions. I have liked every bike I have ridden. The strangest thing that has ever happened to me was when riding with my British riding group. We stopped for gas and an individual who said he was a Harley expert tried like crazy to convince me and my buddies that my Triumph Daytona 675 was a Harley! I think he was a little messed up.

There's three guys I've run into a couple of different times. They ride Indian Motorcycles together. Real nice guys! I sat down on a curb beside these guys one day and took a coffee break! If you'll would have heard the stories they told me about the rudeness of some Harley doods. The looks & some of the Bull-shit that has been said to them over the years! I would Die for one of their bikes!

Having only owned the Dog for 18mths, it does get a lot of notice, more so if the 3 of us are out riding.
When asked why didn't you buy a HD? I always reply that HD's are like aresholes ....................everyones got one.

Seems to get the right responce, they usually fuck off and leave me alone.

must have been a total idiot.i have ridden my big dog around thousands of harleys with nothing but compliments.i had a v rod for a while and the harley guys accepted the big dog more than the v rod.one guy told me it wasnt a harley.really,its on the vin tag.to think a harley is some kind of engineering marvel only shows these guys ignorance.:lol:

I don't have the time nor give a flying h00t what they think to be honest. I ride my bike whenever and wherever I can. I've never had anyone with a Harley say anything to me about the Dog... Not sure what would fly out of my mouth if they did.

When I had my Honda Sabre one of the old farts said something to me and a friend who had a custom HD. I didn't much care..My response was Yep, and she keeps on moving down the road with no issues. I regret selling that bike as I really did like it. It just went everywhere and no issues at all. Gas, oil change, tires and kept on riding. I think I put like 10k miles on her the first year. Was the perfect bike to ride back and forth to work as well. I don't care to much for riding the dog to work and it sits in the parking lot all day.

St. Louis is a Harley town, always has been. I know they are just jealous, and I would be too if I was them. :2thumbs:

Honestly I get tired of the attention. Good or bad. I just want to ride. I bought my k9 cause I love the way it looks. I've never gotten sick of it. I love the way it feels when I ride it. I didn't buy it to get looks or compliments or draw attention. When people smile or give a thumbs up I'm polite and wave or nod or do something, but I get tired of people asking questions at the gas station and such. Guys who talk shit I don't even have the patience to reply. Luckily most people think I look like an asshole and don't approach often.
