I've torn apart my 2005 Chopper to repaint my tank and fenders black and powder coat a lot of parts black. I'm powder coating the rims, triple trees, lower forks, upper exhaust shield, handlebars, air cleaner and the key plate.

Here are pics of it torn apart

Crappy time of year for this.....I would have major withdrawn this summer and have to put myself in an institute.

I love black'd out bikes .
Once you start - its tuff to stop - like tattoos and potato chips.
License plate assembly, headlight, primary cover, ect ect ect ect . . . .
Looking forward to seeing it back together ASAP !

Thanks guys. I had my clutch cable break and I needed to put my new tires on so I went ahead and did this too. I'm hoping to have everything back next week and have it running the next.

Thanks! I'm still not done. I'd like to black some more of it out and get new mirrors. I'd like to get an open primary if they weren't so expensive.

Ya trying to make it look like a Yamaha Midnight Special?

I'm sorry but it doesn't do it for it me and I think it looks like a bad cover up. However, that does not matter as long as you're happy with it and enjoy it. Good job on making it yours man..:2thumbs:
