If it were me, I'd try to get a good hi-res copy of the file electronically so you can always get it reprinted if need be should something happen to that print.
I have done a number of poster size prints for me and my crew (have a big epson printer at home!) My crew is always cautious now when out about doing stuping things lest they get immortalize in a poster print!
