multimeter setting to check battery

Its a gb instruments gmt-12a. Has a dial on it. Dc voltage 10 50 250 500 settings. Ac voltage same.numbers...tThanks

What setting on dc voltage? Just got the battery last summer. Each setting said replace
Switched to ac said it was good. Sorry dont know much about this. Thank you

Use the closest DC setting without going under - in your case use 50.
