Multi funtion gage from DD

I'mthinking about upgrading my BD original speedo to a DD. I know they sell a direct plug-in model but I was looking to get a multi-fuction gauge (MCL-5200or MCV-7200 possibly). Question is, is this a shop job or a DIY project for me? Wasn't sure with the added read outs such as fuel, oil, voltage..etc

i think it would take a lot of rewiring to get all of the functions to work and still may not get inputs for some of the functions. you wont get a fuel gauge be cause there isnt a gauge in the tank on carb models. oil pressure would be better off with an actual gauge by the oil pump. I know what you want but not sure if it would be worth all the work.

Your best bet would be to call Dakota's Tech line @ 1-800-593-4160 Tuesday.
They can advise you on what will and will not work and
the installation process.
If you find something you want let me know and I can work out a price for you as I am a Dakota Dealer.
If the BD-140 that everyone else is upgrading to will work for you
I have them in in stock and they are available at a discounted price
on The Group Buy Page at this link.

Anything I can help with shoot me a PM.
Thanks,

As expensive as it is if I had it to do over again I would purchase BDs new guage and bypassed the Dakota. Dont get me wrong I like the Dakota but the BD gauge has more functions and just looks way cooler. Day late and a dollar short though.
