Had the opportunity to meet with Big Dog Rick. We had a great time at the Road Runner, a local saloon here in New River, just north of PHX. Rick and I got acquainted over breakfast, then moved outside (where it was warming into the mid 60's. They had a country band playing and we got to talking over a few brewskies.

Rick has a cool looking ride with custom floorboards, extended controls, bags and a few more goodies. It's obvious the man rides this bike! Looking forward for him and his bride to get back here so we can do some riding!

Bruce, Thank you for the kind words. Just got back last night with the Jeep, my wife's Harley, and a few pieces of furniture so I can domesticate the little apartment we own on 4th Street. Told Celeste all about our day and the fact that we have a budding friendship. Here's to a quick home sale in San Antonio.

Hey, Bruce. Got my bike over to Scot at Black Canyon and he did me righteous. Master re-build of my Super G carb. He looked me square in the eye and asked me if I ever had it re-built. Lol. I said, "Shit, its a Super G! You don't mess with 'em until they scream for it" Mine was - out loud. She's running strong now and I can actually cruise at 20, 30, and 40 mph.... and, keep my teeth in when I sit at a light!

Rick,
Yeah I kind of saw a before and after of it when I stopped by. When I went in to pick up my bike, he had just finished up the rebuild of the carb. I thought he had gotten you a new one, it was clean, inside and out! Scott did a great job on mine, new tires, brakes and wheel bearings (first time the rear one had been replaced, at 62k miles). He hand balances all his tire mounts. Did a super job. Replaced all the O rings and gaskets between the inner primary and trans / engine / starter. He discovered three loose bolts inside the inner primary, which was probably why it had suddenly developed a leak.

He adjusted the clutch for me and it has never been smoother to shift or find neutral. So, needless to say, I'm a happy camper now!
