Motor smoking.

i noticed also that it normally smoked on hard acceleration. other that it doesnt smoke. runs good other than that. have plans of taking it in to my shop and start doing the winter tear down. have snow and ice here now so kinda unrideable. guess we willl throw it on dyno and figure out the problem there

If that's the only time it smokes maybe you could just use a tune.

Bought my wife an 05 last year with known smoking issues (4,500 miles). I pulled the exhaust first thing after buying and pretty much knew it had bad valve guides. I took a chance and let her ride it this summer but just tore it down and both exhaust guides were egg shaped.

TP's work for some but not for others.
