As a lot of you know I have not been happy with the clutch on my 07 chop , after reading all the posts on this subject ..for the third time I ripped in to it ..and I found something ...YEA Yes it was the basket but the nut was not loose but it had some movement from side to side ..so I took it apart all the way ... and the nut was tight and yes it had locktight on the treads but I think the basket never bottomed or seated all the way if that's possable ??? All I know is that after cleaning the threads the reinstalling and putting the new torque spec on the nut the side to side play "not a lot" was gone ,this really had me hopeful ...so I buttoned it up and filled it with oil and went for a ride ....so far I'm very happy with the way its working but because it was late and now with the LOUDER PIPES I only tested it for 30mins but so far so good !!!! If your having some problems keeping adjustment and creeping at lights etc...check it and retorque ...Get to know your Dog!! O yea just so you know ITs FUCKIN LOUD!!!! NOW !!!!

I think the basket not totally bottoming out is why they are now saying to run the torque to 150# then back down to 100#. The 150 is to seat it and then 100 for proper torque.

Nice washer baffle... I myself don't like baffles... :D

Oh, and what's up with the wheel weights? you know you should go all beads!!!

I know your right but the chop has been sitting the last few weeks "The Bagger has been getting a workout on the weekends .. I have to admit that when bringing the girlfriend its so much nicer ..I don't have to strap and unstrap all her shit .. she has a mirror and a place to put her crap ,and when it gets too much ...I turn up the tunes LOL .... Jake will be getting a order for all three bikes soon. Saturday the chop will get to get out and stretch its legs and give the clutch a good work out "Skyline Drive out west of Richmond" , we will do about 350 total good ride weather looks ?:choppersmiley:
