Module up in smoke

Well, i guess good fortune had to drop the anvil on my head. I was rolling up a slight road in 3rd gear about to hit 4th when a plume of smoke erupted and lost all power. My man Skeet HD master mechanic in West Mifflin PA said the handlebar control module had a meltdown. The way he put it was a ground frome somewhere else back fed through the module. Here are the pics:

I'm wondering if this part can be obtained somewhere? He is working through the electrics as we speak. He installed the retrofit wires plus upgrades years ago. 1st problem electrical since.

Yea I called him but wasn't much help. He gave me the name of some place in Ohio but they just worked with charging systems......... looks like I may have to go with Dead One. My service guy will have a meeting of superior minds and come up with a plan. Then another month or more for my custom harness. There goes Christmas lol

Jeff (Dead One) has a background in EE—hence his devising the replacement ECH he sells. I bought one for my 2010 Bulldog Bagger and it went smoothly because it was mostly a plug-n-play. I found (and have seen others) that he was generous with his time in answering Q’s etc. I’m quite confident he will understand your issues. He can be opinionated, so don’t piss him off. Having said that, I’ve called him at 10:00 pm and he answered the phone and answered all Q’s.
edit: I went to DOC,s website and had a look around. I forgot about the $1300+ price tag..I think I paid $650 for mine five or so years back….
