Modify Stock Mirror Arms Help

I have searched the forum...but does anyone here have the ability to "chop" our stock mirror arms, width-wise down an inch or two, tap a new 1/4 x 20 hole for the mirror, mill the end as it now is or put a chrome button screw in the end...and then re-chrome arm if need be? Thanks guys and gals for any help on this!

Any local mom and pop machine shop could do that, rechroming is probable. :up:
