Model year differences ???

Does anyone hear know what if any differences were made to the chopper between the 06 and 07 years ...I was told by ? someone that BDM made no 07's and that the 06 was last year for the chopper hence the 07 is leftover
06's that did not sell? Someone clear this up ...if its true 06parts should fit but 07 have specific part #s @Whats the difference?

As far as I know there is no major differences between the 06 and 07 Chopper.

The 07 has a different front motor mount, it's powdercoated to match the frame where as the 06 has a polished one. Also the 07 has small cable guides attached directly to the frame for the clutch cable and the 06 has polished aluminum cable clamps. I also saw some dealers that had 07's with different wheels that were chrome.

If you can think of any other difference please let me know ...I'm planning some changes and would be great to know what parts fit from other years ...Strutts and gripps/pegs sissybar. Pipes etc

I was told that the 07 1/2 model strutts are predrilled for sissy bars...my 06 was not so I purchased new strutts to add the sissy bar when needed.

My 07 did not come with the strutts I'm dispointed but considering the price I paid I should be happy....

The 05's have the S&S/HD style cam cover. Some 06's may have it.

There have been three frames. Mine is a Rolling Thunder identified by the "Maple Leaf" on the opposite side of the top motor mount.
And there is the Daytec frame and now the BDM frame.

Exactly, most if not all of the 06's and all of the 07's will be the BDM frame. 05 was the transition year with three!!!! different frames.
