Moaning Sound?

hey fellas... about 2 weeks ago , when just gettin out for a ride, when i downshifted, i heard a moaning sound i could feel . it happened 3 times and i never heard it again. been couple hundred miles since. last night same thing. as i down shifted , i haD same noise moaning sound and could feel it . happened twice .rode 40 miles or so and nothin else happened. any ideas? hate to be so vague, but best i can describe. my suspicions have me wanting to pull primary cover ....

For me, that's always been my wallet 'moaning'...I've learned to ignore it! :lol::loony:

I'd have my dealer check it out ASAP, unless you're a handy-dandy-toolman who knows engines well (I'm not). I'm sure one of the guys in this Forum will step up with some suggestions for you. Good luck! Keep us posted.:up:

In the past when I have heard a groaning, a brake job has cured this issue, Or, turn around and help your lady:D:2thumbs:

It could be that your dog is in heat. :lol:

Mine had a moan (sort of) and did it during down shifting. Then it would go away and come back every so often. After looking for loose shit on the bike I noticed that the Top motor mount touched ever so slightly the bottom of the tank. I took the tank off and adjusted the rear mount (about two full turns out ) and she has not moaned since.
