MLB twisted exhaust heat shield rattle

alright, I know there are a bunch of post on here about this. After having these installed on the bike for about a year that heat shields on my exhaust have started to loosen and rattle. thought about trying to remove the allen set screws that hold them in but the set screws are held in with loctite and i do not want to strip them. I may just live with it and ride, love the MLB's but heat shields suck !!!

Use some heat if you want to remove the screws.

I don't wanna hijack the thread... But how are the MLB's? How about the volume level?

Sound is good enough to bother the neighbors. But the rattle on the heatshields is annoying. They are a good sounding pipe. If I can figure out how to post a sound clip I will get that on here.

I can imagine that the rattle isn't much fun. Like nine lives said -- Try using heat and screwing it back in with more loctite. Sounds like a plan to me! :2thumbs:
