Missing Screws??

I took my bike in while still under warranty earlier in the year due to me thinking the tranny was locking up, I did a post on it but didnt look for it on here. Well then I hadnt noticed that the side of the drive belt was wore down and when I picked it up I was told that something had gotten in between the belt and front pulley cover and thus the reasing for the trans trying to lock up and wearing the belt down. Yesterday I removed cover to install new ball and ramp only to find the culprit, two of the screws that hold the cover on the ball and ramp had fallen out and was what chewed up my belt, one of them still in their and had to pry it out of the cover, Problem now is bike is out of warranty and had the cover been removed when taken in the first time it would have been found. I'm not mad or griping it was an honest mistake even though I feel the cover should have been removed and checked originally.
Moral to this story is check your bolts and loc-tight the hel outa em:(

That does suck. Have to asked the dealership and/or bdm about the situation?

Called the dealership today, their going to check into it and see if BDM will do anything, I'd be happy with them just giving me a new belt. It chewed the inside of the cover up pretty good but you cant see that anyway but I was going to replace the belt when I do the rear tire within the next month, so that would save me from buying the belt do to their bolt falling out.
