Mileage drop from jet change?

Anyone notice a mileage drop from changing their intermediate jet to the .031?

I was getting 35mpg in town and I've had some tanks at 25 mpg now.

My bike is running great but I was surprised with that much drop.
I have the V&H big radius and the new S&S air intake with the dual filters

I kept my main jet stock at .76

OK, I CHANGED MY JETS TO THE BDM KIT WITH .031 AND .076. MY MPG WENT DOWN TO 25 MPG. THEN AFTER SOME OF THE VERY BEST KNOWLEDGE AND ADVICE ON THIS SITE I CHANGED MY MAIN JET BACK TO THE STOCK .074 AND FINE TUNED THE A/F MIXTURE AND I'M GETTIN 39 MPG AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND 33 TO 35 MPG RUNNING AROUND TOWN. ACCORDING TO THIS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE SOURCE, THIS COMBINATION IS THE BEST FOR OUR 117'S. EVEN THOUGH YOUR USING THE V&H BIG RADIUS PIPES AND DUAL AIR CLEANERS AND I'M USING STRAIGHT THRU STOCK PIPES( NO BAFFLES) AND A K&N THIS SOURCE SAYS THIS COMBINATION IS "GOLDEN" FOR OUR SETUPS. IN THE END, JUST PUT YOUR .074 MAIN JET BACK IN AND LEAVE THE .031 INTER ALONE.

I am running a .031 and getting 25 at the best. Plugs are perfect and runs great. If I drop down, I loose alot of performance.

I am getting better than 30 usually. Don't know for sure i don't feel like converting from litres to gallons. Every 90 miles I throw 10 euro at it.

38-41mpg .. .078/.031 - I did this a few times just to see how far a tank would get me.

Saturday afternoon three dogs went to daytona and on the way back we topped out tanks with 100 octane .. )(@)#(*@)$ at $5.99 a gallon was it worth it .. dam scoot never ran better and I now call it the f'ing rocket!!

I RODE TO GETTYSBURG HARLEY DAVIDSON ON SUNDAY AND I GOT 37.5 MILES TO THE GALLON. MOSTLY BACK COUNTRY ROADS AT AROUND 45 TO 65 MILES PER HOUR FOR THE MOST PART. I REALLY CAN'T COMPLAIN ON THAT NUMBER SINCE I USED TO GET ABOUT 25 MPG.

Dude changing your main jet .002 isn't going to do much for gas mileage. Riding conditions affects it more than jetting.
