Mileage check

I have a 08 Mastiff EFI. It came with a aftermarket speedo that says 6K. After a trip to the Vet. It is very clear it has a lot more miles then that on it. I was thinking with it being EFI. Is there somewhere I can plug in and get the info?

don't you hate when that happens!!!!!???? honest people will get the new speedo reset to represent the actual mileage, semi- honest people will tell you to add xxxxx miles to what's on the new speedo, and then you have the people like the one you bought the bike from. maybe somebody can let you know who, if anybody, has the hardware/software that will read the EHC for you. good luck with it.

What are the mileage symptoms that makes you think it is more than what's stated. Just curious. There's a lot of low mile dogs a running around for various reasons.

The speedometer says 6K. The valve guide were shot in the rear cylinder. The transmission bearing were all shot along with the shafts in the transmission. The rear wheel pulley is also worn out. The rear pulley is what's really makes me think I was lied to.

Ya. I am pretty bummed. If I can find a way to prove the real mileage. I aleast having a fighting chance with a lawyer.

did he specify the mileage on the speedo was correct or did you assume it was correct? is it written on the bill of sale/title?

Ya. It is written on the title and paperwork we sent to the state when we switched the title over.

Mileage is stored in the ignition module as well as other info like rev hits. I've posted mine here several times

There is no ignition module on an EFI bike. You may want to contact S&S to see if any info is stored in the VFI module.

I called S&S. I can't pull that info from the VFI. I need to find a tech that has the Big Dog software.

Good luck with that. Not sure why that is so difficult to acquire. I know several guys looking. You still have the stock EHC?

I thought I have pulled that info from our 2007 Bulldog ECMs with the protune2 software. It's in the EHC for sure.

I got ahold of Curtis. I'll gonna send him my EHC. He can test it and pull all that info for me and print it out. That works for me!!!!!! Thanks Captain!!!!!!! You DA man!!!

Oh. As far as I know I have the stock EHC. Curtis will be able to tell me that also.
