Yeah no shit.

Hope he has a speedy recovery... sucks that by the time he gets back on his feet, the season will be over. I was just there last year but it was my bike that was down.

Post up his room number... or get his home adress and we will get together a get well gift for him... what's his favorite drink or food? I'll take up a collection and then get the money to one of you northern guys can do the drop off.

Let's set up the ride... we could us a northern run. Tie it in with a run to a good bar up there or event in that area.

I too like Cutter am very busy in the coming months...

What about Oct 13th (monday) Columbus Day???
Otherwise for me its the end of the month for a weekend that is free for me.

Pig is home and resting, looks like he may not need surgery. He is on some good drugs and his spirit is pretty good for now. I'm sure he will be telling his story in the next couple days, thanks for the responces fellas, I know he will appreciate it.

Hey guys I'm home and doing ok. My feet are pretty fucked but I'm alive and should gain full fuction of both my feet. I'm going to see a specialist thursday to see what type of surgury I will need if any. Local doc thinks they will just need to go in and remove bone chips.Just a word to all the other hunters out there take your ladder style tree stands and junk them. I was taking 1 down, I removed the top strap started down when it pulled away from the tree. The center strap cought but the ladder bent backwards with me hagin on them wamoI hit the ground. I was lucky I had a co-worker with me. I crawled to the golf cart then off to the ER for a two night stay.

I'll be off work for about 3-4 months and my employer has already been notified, they are taking it ok,its a small family owned company and I think they will be good to me.

I still plan on hunting but Doug G will be pushing my wheel chair. I'm sure he won't complain as he knows how important his freindship is to me.


I look forward on seeing everyone again.

Soory to hear of the accident and wishing PigPen a complete recovery. One of the reasons I do not hunt from tree-stands myself. Tried it a few times and fell a few feet coming off one day and have not climb in a tree in over 20 years sicne then.

Went back toi how I was raised and hunt by stalking, still or using ground coverage. With the season starting, a good reminder for all hunters to pay attention to the gear and use of it. Be safe out there.
