Michigan Dog Is HURT"Pig Pen"

Well I'm sitting here feeling like a pile of shit. My best friend "Pig Pen" fell 20 feet from a tree trying to remove one of our tree stands tonight. He wanted me to go help him move stands around for the upcoming deer hunting season, but I had to work late. He broke both his ankles and one is extremely fucked. He has severe swelling in both ankles with multiple fractures and is getting a cat scan tonight and will need surgery tomorrow. He is in Port Huron hospital and is feeling pretty bad. This is going to really fuck him up at work. He is in heating and air conditioning and I hope the company he works for sticks by his side, not to mention he has several side jobs already booked for the fall. It is going to be a difficult couple months, so if you guys get a chance send him a message or two. He is going to have plenty of time to use the forum. Thanks everyone!

Hopefully he will not be in the hospital too long, but it would make his day if a bunch of us showed up at his house with a case or two of beer. He lives up in the Thumb in Sandusky. He had a real good time with you guys on his last ride of the season. The roads are nice up there, if anyone is up for it just let me know and we will make it happen. When he gets a room, I'll let you guys know.

A speedy recovery to PigPen. I have an old friend who nearly broke his neck in a tree stand accident and he lay there for a couple of hours before he could even get his wits together to crawl back out of the woods. It took him several months to recover.

Your right it sure could have been worse! I had another friend fall and was hanging upside down a few years ago. He cut himself free, fell and broke his back, had to crawl a half mile back to his truck and it took him almost a year to get back in shape. This deer hunting can be a dangerous, and expensive sport. I bet Pig Pen could buy a shit load of venison with all the money this accident will cost him.:angry:
