Messed up....

Hey folks I'm having issues with 03 Choppper. I didn't read the owners manual till after the fact and tried to change a tail light out with another brand. That light didn't work so I put my old one back on and it lights up but now the brakes stay on, the tach and speedo went out. When I unplug the signal under seat tach and speedo come back on but brake light still stays on. Owners manual says changing brand of led will cause electrical disruption. So question is do I bite the bullet and buy a wire plus or is it a simpler fix

first, try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes and then reconnect. it might give the EHC time to reset itself. worth a try. (check and double check that all connections are tight and don't forget any wires)

you did disconnect the battery before you changed out the light, didn't you?
