Hi,
So EZDog and I are looking at meeting up around Bristol TN +/-
We planning on using a camping spot that would be near the rides . And have hotels close by .

This would be something like our regular gatherings that meals, campfires etc. can be shared together.

We would probably get there Thursday May 23rd and break camp Monday (Memorial Day) May 27th .

Between him and I we have equipment for food preparation.
Of coarse some meals would be at stops on rides as they play out .

Rides are not all selected yet, but one we are liking is a loop that hits The Snake, Widow Maker, and Back of the Dragon . Map says 6 hours, but we plan on cutting out the south east leg which does not include the above mentioned spots. So that might save 1.5 hours which would probably get used up on lunch and fuel stops . We would like to stop about every 45mins to 75mins for fuel and or breaks.
Map is attached.- Dragon Snake Loop

Tophats ride .. we are unsure that we will connect with them. It's not out of the question but not absolute.

Another note: If you decide you want to do your own thing for a day or whatever we won't be butt hurt.

Tail of the Dragon, we don't plan on hitting that . It's a fair ride away (3 hours) and will probably packed on this weekend.
There is planned resurfacing there this year too but no dates are set as of now that I know of.

Anyone interested please comment.
We are wanting people to join in !

I am absolutely interested.
I can easily live without another trip on the Tail of the Dragon -- Been there Done that -- got the T shirt!

I don't know what races are when but check that NASCAR or other isn't at Bristol that weekend cause that would screw things up for sure.

Trying to have camp spot selected by next week.

We are leaning towards Bristol, camp ground there has primitive spots @ $25 a night for none race weekends. There should be ample hotel choices available too I would think .

It's a tad west but not much .

Freeborns will have live bands, I'm sure.
Definitely over 100 bikes will pass through that weekend. As it is a motorcycle destination. Blue ridge parkway has an exit right at the place. Motel and some camping..
Just a suggestion...

Ouch!!! That's a serious amount of time buddy. I was thinking you'd only be down for maybe 6 weeks. Goes to show little I know.

Well I will be able to probably get back to work in 6/8 weeks. But only in a supervisor role. No equipment operations for like 6 months. They said 8/10 months for the fusion to be complete and bonded. So we’ll see. I’m hoping for the best but expecting the worst case scenario. Being 60 ain’t in my favor for recovery and bone growth. But… like Arnie says… I’ll be Back!
 :chopper:
