Maybe we can get some Bigdog tech's to pipe in here and explain what might be going on to cause this... :up:

OK. So I adjusted the clutch pushrod to spec and it is still slippping in 4th. Anyone have any other ideas? What might I be missing in this equation?

Well, the dealership just called and siad the problem was a loose clutch nut. I figured it would be something stupid. Will this always come loose or will red loctite solve the problem?

Get your pushrod and lever where they need to be, then try it again. Try 3/16" play at the lever, then bottom out the pushrod and back it off a half turn. A bad clutch will start to slip in low RPM/high load in 3rd or 4th like Vegas said. That's the first sign it's going. Too much play in the lever will not cause slippage, but too little play will.

Never thought to respond with this but it has happened to several of us including my self. Not a hard fix. The importance is clean, clean, clean. When they reset the nut and torque there is a sepcified red locktite and the main deal is that there is no oil or residue on the nut or shaft as the locktite wan't stick. I wasn't haaving a prob with my 08 but checked it out and the nut was easily turned with a wrench with one hand. I think the torques spec was to over torque slightly to reset the shaft then retorque to the correct amount with the red locktite. Good luck and you might wan to serch this on the forum prob under "clutch nut"
