Whats you thoughts on the Mean Street Avalon II front end for a K9? Thinking of upgrading soon and would like some ideas.

Get your wallet ready. The avalon comes in a I,II,III series. The differences are an angled lowers, pointed lowers, rounded lowers. I chose the series I with the angled lowers because it matches the top tree angle.

alhall88... have you had any problems with your front end? I have had mine back to them for re-chrome the past two winters..l.. :bang:

They look sweet but I think I will find something different, not liking the idea of having to send parts back all the time..

Tim Hanlon has left Mean Street and I'll be the first to say he was the brother that had the technical skills and Mike who now runs it was more of the business guy. They are have chrome issues along with some clearance problems between the upper and lower sections. While the front end is a solid pc. it still will flex somewhat causing some scratching on the lowers.

You would think with what we spend on this stuff we could get top of the line products... I told Mean street i will only except a NEW front end this time and be done with it! There chrome shop BLOWS!!!!!!

I did get your message alhall88... I had the same issues and the chrome on the trees lifting where the forks mount, keep your eye on that... I will check on the shims for ya and get back with ya... dealer installed.
