MEAN MOTHER BRACKET

ON MY 07 MASTIFF THE BRACKET HAS BEEN REPLACED AGAIN THE 3rd ONE SO IF YOU GOT MM PIPES I WOULD KEEP A CHECK ON IT ,THE 1st ONE BROKE GOING DOWN THE ROAD GOT INTO THE PULLEY & WHEEL NOT GOOD THE OTHERS WERE CRACKED LUCKY I CAUGHT THEM

You may want to do a measurement on the thickness of the bracket. I know I had two bust on mine but on the third one they had a new bracket that was thicker. The original were just over 1/4 inch in thickness and the new was 3/8 inch. I would suggest that you or anyone else measure the thickness and if you get a replacment and it is not 3/8, call them out on it and mention that there is a thicker one made for at least some of the models by SuperTrap.

MINE IS THICKER THAN THAT BUT IT IS MADE OUT OF POTMETAL OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON MY 06 WERE LIKE YOUR TALKING ABOUT

Interesting for sure. Mine all seem to be good old mild steel, but I know if I have another break, I have a replacment from one of the thinner original. I took it, welded it back up and reinforced it with extra steel and the stress points.

Hopefully you nor I, or for that matter anyone else will have any more issues with the brackets.

I got the old one, had to weld it up when I had the trans out before Daytona. The heat shield mounts are all breaking too! POS!:down:

Take the bracket you have... make sure if its beefier it will still work. Then send it to Choppin Steal and have him make you a new one!

I've seen where a lot of guys talk about the bracket breaking loocking at the posts its seams like its softail not rigid type of frames. Is this something a BDB member could make and have available? Or am I still drunk?
