What is the maximum passenger weight on the back of a k9 ? And also how to adjust for more weight being carried.

I weigh 200 pounds how much can I safely carry on a seat on the back fender without damaging bike or fender.

figure 4.4 gal of gas @ 7.5#/ gal = about 33# plus 4.5 quarts of lube, that's another 8 lbs maybe, total 41 lbs. 1130-41-200-710= about 180lbs. maximum. (legally)

Dealer told me shocks are good for 5-600 lbs with 2 people, if you adjust your shocks and the gap is getting bigger between the tire and the rear fender, you know your going the right way, adjust them evenly. There was a recall also for the bolts in the struts to have grade 8 bolts, my 07' was affected.

The dealer may have said this but the factory says otherwise. Don't you think if you were in some sort of wreck and it was found out that the bike was "overloaded" as per the manufacturer specs, the long arm of the law would be reaching out for you!

and if we, on the forum, have all these differences, there's no way in hell the LEO's 
would even have a clue,
only stated what the dealer told me.
