Mastriff vs K9

Hi guys, I might be riding a Big Dog again. Copple of years ago I sold my 2007 K9 because I could not ride it (lack of experience.... ) so I bought a 2006 Ultra CVO and then a 2011 Streetglide CVO. Now the time has come that I want the real thing again, :oldsmile:.
The question will be asked on this forum again and again, but I try: who has ridden both the K9 and the Mastiff and what are the differences in handling?
Thinking of a 2008 Mastiff or a 2007 K9....

The K9 & Chopper have the longer rake so yes they are more of a challenge than a Mastiff. I have ridden all three and have owned a BDM Chopper since 2004. The mastiff handled more like a soft tail custom HD. That's my $.02.

Ride both and make your own decision, K9 owners will tell ya to get a K9, Mastiff owners will tell ya to get a Mastiff.:2cents:

I agree, but in Holland there is no way to ride a Big Dog, because there are only a few....
I rode the K9 for a year, so I know how it is, but have not ride a Mastiff yet....

I have both and prefer my K9. I feel like I sit 'in' the K9 where I feel like I sit 'on' the Mastiff. The K9 does make wider turns due to it's rake (slow, hard right turns require focus) but otherwise they handle about the same. Same motor/tranny etc and same soft tail feel. It's really a looks thing more than anything -- do you want the pro-street or the chopper style?

Here in Spain is an 07 K9 for sale. I know the guy, has done very few Kms.

I own both. I like both, but the k9 most definately rides better if your 6' tall or more. To me the k9 is much more comfortable. I have an 06 mastiff and an 08 k9. Bottom line is if you are over 6' tall and 250 lbs go with the k9. Both have their good and bad points. They are both fun bikes to ride. But for me I can ride much further on the k9.
