Manual or OEM CR's?

Battery manufacturer sent me another replacement battery. They won't tell me what was wrong with the last two. But I installed it yesterday and my bike fired up w/o any resistance or hesitantion. Restarted the bike 2 more times w/o issue. Today I started the bike and went to my friends house. Hung out a few hours and rode home. All 5 starts in 2 days was without my touching the electric CRs. But the engine was cold.
So...I wonder if the batteries had a manufacturing flaw or if the CR's were hot and the metal was expanded causing too much strain on the battery. Hence, it crapping out?
Either way, my manuals should be here in a few days. I'll have them installed.
I went 9 years on my blue bike without my cr's working at all...I knew they was not working i just wanted to see how long i could go...never had issues starting the bike unless the battery wasnt charged good or i had a battery going bad..3 years ago I fixed it....but with that said I also have a complete stock 107 motor with stock cam

Post some pics when you get’er done. Interested in how it all goes.

CR's installed today, bike started 5 times without hesitation or any issues. Of all the ones I reviewed these are the tallest. But there is an empty space above them about 3". So burnt fingers are inevitable. Im wanting to protect them from the elements as Im riding (stuff a small towel in there after I start it, so on). Any recommendations what to use?
I used Vulcanworks.net, product #3137 (14x1.25 long reach).

You could possibly use a wooden dowel to reach in.
Great find on the CR's! Huge savings ! Did they thread right in with no problem?

Thank you sir.
I wasn't there for the install, but I know & trust the mechanic and I also asked S&S for the size.
That's what I was thinking. I measured the hole and a 1x1" dowel would fit perfectly and still give about 2mm all around for the escaping pressure. Plus help to keep the CR clean.
