I just changed out my fuel line and was wondering if there is a certain length that it should be?
Reason I ask is because the petcock is clean, the tank is clean, there are no obstructions in the gas line and the gas flows when the gas line is removed from the carb but I get no gas to the carb.
I pulled the line to the carb and I have nothing. I pulled the the bowl and it's dry.
Here's what I tried -
I turned the gas on and it flows at a pretty good flow - That's with the line facing down towards the ground. Now, when I turn the gas on and I hold the line up simulating that it's going back into the carb I have no flow - meaning that I have no gas overflowing from the line when the gas is on.
I want to say that the line might be to long and if it is how much should I take off?
Can someone with a pitbull measure the length from the petcock to the carb and let me know please, it doesn't have to be spot on. A guesstimate would work.
