I would send those twisted wires back!! When I called the guy at twisted and inquired about the EMI degrading and some guys having issues he said he'd call me back. I called back the next day and he said "I didn't get a solid answer, I'm not sure, I'll honor a refund if you have issues but won't refund shipping etc." so I said screw that, and off I went to find real EMI suppressed wires. The twisted are the same as the ultimas, just with a neat sticker.
Steve at Magnecor explains everything you'd ever want to know about EMI wires on his website. The problem is the EMI degrades over time in twised type wires...and can slowly start causing the electrical problems many of us have found ourselves chasing for years. We very specifically need totally suppressed wires. Also, there's a lot of BS on the net about low resistance etc wires. I can't explain exactly what he told me, but basically the resistance has nothing to do with getting spark from coil to plug and people have just bought onto this B.S. over the years. His wires are built as a solid core where the suppression is forged as the core is built, not twisted around it.
I got the 2902 wires which are 10mm and all red. The 8.5 and 10mm are the same core, 10mm are just fatter and I think look cooler. I don't think he'll do them in different colors, but who cares, if you're runnin red wires you're runnin the best.
I put mine on this weekend and the odd miss I kept 'feeling' as I was cruising along has totally gone away. I had this odd miss here and there, nothing I could track down, but I could feel it now and then. Also, my tach seems more smooth where before it seemed to quickly blink as it displayed the revs.
The bike runs great and my plugs did look cleaner like it was getting a more consistent burn. It doesn't feel any faster, but more like I'm getting a good hot spark each time and not getting an odd miss or a half spark here and there.
