I know that Wicked Bastard, Nelson, at Wicked Bastard Cycles has been set up with Lyndall Racing to supply us with brake pads and some of you got in on the group buy.

Can anyone post up some feedback on how they perform now that you have gotten some miles on them.

How is the brake dust compared to stock?
Any signs of faster rotor wear?
Are they quiet?

Oh...and,

Do they stop any better?

Just wanted some feedback posted for future members that might consider buying them, and I just ordered some myself.:2thumbs:

Jake-purchased mine from Twin Specialties. Not much dust generated from them and dust is lighter in color than stock pads. Quiet. Fast stop. Have not noticed any excessive rotor wear. Have had them on for about 1800 miles.

I had the Gold Pads and they ate up the rear rotor in 2000 miles. Went back to EBC pads more brake dust but no rotor wear.

I was told that the Z-plus are the recommended pads for BDM brakes. Gold series are a harder compound than the Z-Plus series.

Seems like most of the posts i've seen on the net, everyone is using the Z-plus also. I'm wanting to put the polished rotors on my Ultra classic so I'm also looking for a pad that's not going to grind the hell out of them.

I have the Z-plus...I bought these off of Gas Man...but I haven't put them on yet...being that my brakes pads are still good!

according to there web site the Gold pads are the most rotor friendly and the least wear on a rotor, go figure all advertising hype.

Not to be an ass hat but how can anyone believe that rotor wear and dust can be eliminated??????

Off their website:

"Z-Plus Pads:
Our Z Plus compound is a softened version of the Gold Plus compound. It is excellent for general purpose riding and offers a high coefficient of friction. This is the most rotor friendly pad in the industry. It produces no dust, and no noise. The service life generally averages about 18,000 miles."

I can understand little to no rotor wear if the pad material is softer than the rotor material.

But I agree with you on "no dust"! If the pads are wearing down where the did the material go? It sure as hell didn't just evaporate into thin air!!!

TX Chop -- how long ago did this occur to you with the Gold Pads?

When I spoke with Mike at Lyndall on this two months back he claimed they changed their Gold compound as a result of problems on some rotor material.
