It's a nice looking rack. looks like an easy on, easy off, if it were mine I would only put it on when i needed it for a road trip.

how much do you think the other one contributed to saving your life???????
My luggage rack and sissy bar took the initial hit and sheared the grade 8 strut bolts right at the frame (all 4 bolts) the luggage rack suffered no damage but it bent the shit out of my sissy bar:eek: the sissybar made all the difference and probably saved me from being paralyzed for the rest of my life .... they both helped

so, do you feel the outcome would have been close to the same without the rack? if so, rack on only when needed.

I cant speculate on the outcome but i'm glad I had the rack on there that morning....I usually dont have the rack on, but on that day i was going to check out T-Bags after work...

Do you like the new rack Wood or do you like the BDM rack better ?

I like your back rack better than the stock one. The stock one needs at least 1 bar going through it and maybe wider. I also only use the sissy bar unless traveling. I cannot get over how good that bike looks overall. I'm ordering those pipes for the spring. Do ya think they would bother the wife's ears more than my mean mothers. (or should I care)
Thanks five five.

I kinda like the look of the stock a little better it looks more streamlined. Of course I'm probably saying that cause that's what I have :job: I really do like the looks of yours too. It looks more functional for keeping crap off the paint. I've got a little scuff from my backpack on my fender that just pisses me off. With or without the bike looks great!

It looks good......a bit wider than bdm. I ride with the rack most of the time. The 8 screws are kind of a pain. I would remove it more if quick release.
I use the bdm rack with a gran tour bag and have no issues.

I like it, I usually ride without it unless I'm going on a trip. The sissy bar stays on though, so i have some protection on the rear.

It looks good and leave it on all the time. Is this one of Ray and curtis products? I like it better than stock.
