I have an 2003 chopper and this is how I use my yellow harbor freight jack/lift.
I get on the opposite side of the kickstand and position the jack where I want to slide it under. Next I grab the handlebars with my left hand and stand the BDM straight up while I slide the jack under with my right hand. Some times I have to rock the BDM a little to work the jack underneath, but it goes under pretty smoothly. Once I have the jack where I want it, I continue to hold the handlebars with my left hand until I pump the jack a couple of times to fully stablize the MC. From there I can lift it up and manuever it any way I need.
Now this may not work for the K9s or other models, but it works for me on my 2003 Chopper and I was told I may have to ride up on a piece of wood or something to get mine to work, but I didn't. I just thought I would throw this out here, for people who may benefit.
On the other hand I'm going to eventually get me a Pitbull Jack. They say those jacks have a really low clearance and from what I have seen on the videos they are amazing and extremely stable. They even make an add on 360 degree rotating pedestal that connects to the top. The only thing is that the jacks are fairly expensive. I think the jack is around $500.00 and the pedestal is another $200.00. As soon as I get some other thing higher on the priority list out of the way, I will get both, until then my HF jack works pretty damn good.............especially for $60.00.
