Lost rear brake

I did a search, but couldn't find anything on this subject, so I apologize if it's a re post.
On the way home from work yesterday, I noticed my rear brake wasn't feeling quite right. As I was pulling into my drive, the rear brake lever went all the way down & I didn't have any rear brakes at all. Luckily, I wasn't going too fast & made the turn into the drive. Once I stopped completely, I noticed a puddle of fluid on the ground about half way down the bike.
Do yourself a favor & check all of your lines & cables, this is what I found...

I noticed the brake line is covered with a clear plastic sleeve, but the oil line is not, which is what rubbed a hole into the brake line.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep this from happening again?
Thanks,
John :flag:

after replacing the brake line maybe try a hose seperating clamp like the ones on the oil line or maybe reroute the line if possible
