Sorry to hear Lee, I know the feeling. I know there will never be another Gus, but go get a new bulldog pup.

I feel your pain. That's a tough loss. My 10 yo golden is one of my kids. The thought of losing her makes me sick.

Sorry for your loss Lee. We went through the same thing several years ago with our Rotty named Jake. He got sick and we had him checked out and it turned out to be cancer in his stomach. The Vet removed it all but he never recovered and began eating again. The Vet, a friend of mine came by on a Saturday afternoon, after we had tryed everything anyone knew to do, and did what was needed to be done. We knew this was coming and I made him a casket to be placed in and we buried him in our backyard. He was a great friend, a very royal companion, and never gave us any problems. That was 10 years ago and still chokes me up. Not much on crying either, but I cryed like a baby when he died. We did everything we could for him and I do not regret that at all and would do it again for him, but in reality it was his time to go.

Again so "Sorry" for your loss,
Ray

Sorry fo your loss

Lee, I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your "Wing Man" Gus. Losing a pet is actually sometimes harder to deal with than Family members. You have to give yourself a few long days, and then head right down to the Local Shelter and pick out a new Pup.

I did, and it made me not only feel better but gave a chance to a little guy that was not doing too well in the chance department.

God Bless & I want to see the Photo's of the Dog that gus has sent to you from above.
