That's not to bring Scott back. But I agree she does need to have some type of serious repercussion. If indeed she was at fault. I just think back to when I was that age and I thank god that that he looked out 4 me and the other person. Because I did some stupid things as for as driving and I know I'm not alone here. But she really needs to understand that she may have took some bodies father, brother, son and those people are hurting right now. When it waS all said and done. She went home to her family he didn't.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Good words there in the initial post with the "you didn't see me..." poem. But I wouldn't go rally the mob to go after the girl. Sure, she was in the wrong but imagine being that 18 year old girl and having to know each day that you wake up, someone else isn't because of what you did. I'm not saying she should go without some sort of punishment, but I bet she NEVER does anything like this again. Nothing will bring Scott back, but I firmly believe that everything is done for a reason. If we all push to have more motorcycle awareness, through whatever means, drivers education, advertising, etc. and future lives are saved, then maybe that was one of Scott's purposes in life. So get out and do what you can to make motorcycle awareness present in your community. I guarantee you that if you go and talk to whoever teaches drivers education, and tell them to please put emphasis on these young drivers being aware of ALL types of transportation, they will teach it. And if you save one life in the process, well, I would say that 15 minutes of your time would have been well worth it. I am going to find out who teaches ours here in my town today and see that they are aware.

But know that Scott is truly riding free now, and with some views like nothing here on earth.

So may peace be with you all, and may you all ride free and SAFE!

It maybe unfair to this 18yr old......but every time I hear of this type of accident I envision a bubble-headed tween on a cell phone, crying, but it wasn't my fault. Too many distractions in moving vehicles these days from text-ing to kids/friends....drugs and alcohol. I try to ride as far away from traffic as I can. I don't like in-town or interstates.

Best advice is ride assuming you're invisible. I know what it is like to loose a riding partner to stupidity on the part of a drunk driver. We take that risk every time we leave the garage. I don't want to loss another friend.

RIP to the family.
